Assam rifles Noney battalion organizes free medical camp

Noney Battalion of Assam Rifles under the aegis of Headquarters 22 Sector Assam Rifles and Inspector General of Assam Rifles (East) organized a Free Medical Camp at Village Rongkhong-II today to help inhabitants of  Rongkhong-II and Rongkhong-III and spread awareness about water borne diseases and preventive actions pertaining to arrival of early monsoon.  Keeping in mind the problems faced by remote villagers due to the COVID-19 pandemic and common morbidities of monsoon season affecting local populace,  the Noney Battalion organized the free medical camp to provide medical assistance and medicines to the villagers. The Free Medical Camp began with an informative lecture on ‘Justice for Health’ where locals were enlightened on basic healthcare issues including precautions against viral diseases and COVID Appropriate Behaviour as well as importance of Hygiene and Sanitation for maintaining a healthy lifestyle. A total 63 civilians were given treatment and  distributed free medicines.
