Heroin No. 4. Siezed and arrested

IMPHAL: Under the supervision of SP Bishnupur while conducting frisking and checking at Napat Junction along Kumbi Sangaikot Napat road detected an Eeco Van and a Kenbo two wheeler with suspected contraband items in two polythene bags. On further verification and checking following due procedure the two bags contained 62 soap cases each with packets of Heroin No. 4. The two individuals have been identified as (1) Jangkholun Lhungdim (27) s/o Thanglhogin Lhungdim of Moltuk Village, Chandel district and (2) Thanlal Haokip (30) s/o Mangjapao Haokip of New Songyang, Chandel district. On further questioning it was revealed that they brought the contraband item from Moreh for sale at Napat and Kumbi areas. The two persons have been arrested and along with the seized items , vehicles have been handed to Kumbi PS where a case has been registered for further investigation.
