Various orgs celebrate Naga I-Day in Manipur

IMPHAL/2015: Various civil organisations celebrated Naga Independence in Naga dominated hill districts, Friday. Custom and traditional observation committee in collaboration with International Manipur Mother Association (IMMA) and Mayekna Taba Shangok Lup celebrated the day. ‘Manipur national flag’ was unfurled at the beginning of the function graced by IMMA president Khuman Leima as chief guest at GM Hall, Imphal. The motto of the celebration was ‘custom is the gift of unity amongst the 39 tribes in Manipur for peace and prosperity’.

 The day was observed in parts of Naga dominated hill districts of the state. It was as a part of NSCN (I-M)’s celebration of the day. The day was observed by the Khurmi Region of Government of the People’s Republic of Nagalim (GPRN) in Chandel with due dignity and festivity.
