Heikru Hidongba festival celebrated at Shri Shri Bijoygovindaji, Thangapat, Sagolband. In connection with the festival, a boat racing event was also held at the event site. The festival has been celebrating in Manipur since 1779 AD. The festival was celebrated offering gooseberry to the Bijoygovinda temple in the morning and later in the evening, boat racing was held at Thangapat. Later, Governor La Ganeshan awarded trophies to the top position holders. With the coming of this festival, CM N Biren, Minister Govindas, Y.
