IGAR(South) along with team of Churachandpur Police Station apprehended an active insurgent of KIA

Loktak Battalion of Assam Rifles under the aegis of IGAR(South) along with team of Churachandpur Police Station apprehended an active insurgent of proscribed group KIA from Patlen Village near Hengjang,  Churachandpur district on 18 August. Based on specific inputs, troops of Assam Rifles along with team of Churachandpur Police launched an operation which led to the apprehension. The insurgent was actively involved in extortion activities and team of Assam Rifles and police have recovered cash amounting 20000 Indian rupees from the insurgent. The apprehended insurgent and recovered items were handed over to Churachandpur Police Station for further investigation.
