Defence Minister Rajnath Singh opens Durand Cup at Khuman Lampak Main Stadium, Imphal. It can be mentioned that Durand Cup is the oldest football tournament in whole of Asia. The opening ceremony was also joined by Chief Minister N Biren and other ministers. Durand Cup was held for the first time at Shimla in 1888. This year's Durand Cup will be held in three states viz; Manipur, Calcutta and Assam. In India, this reknowned Cup was started for the first time in the year 1891. In today's first match, NEROCA FC will meet against TRAU FC.
