2nd Meeyamgi Numit (Peoples' Day) for Kakching district held at DC office complex.


District Administration, Kakching today organized the second "Meeyamgi Numit" (People's Day) in respect of Kakching District at the Deputy Commissioner's Office Complex, Kakching.   Altogether, 27 departments opened their stalls for delivering public services and addressing public grievances. Some of the services provided/grievances addressed during the event includes, vaccination and Health check-up counters were setup by Health Department where  17 persons have availed the services. Under Handlooms and Textiles, Kakching 5 nos. each of Weavers card and  Yarn pass book were issued. Kakching Municipal Council has done registration of 13 nos. Birth & Death, Street Vendor and Shop registration. Under ZEO, Kakching 8 nos. of IED (AIDS & Appliances), one Wheel Chair, three Hearing Aids and four nos. of MR Kits were distributed. Awareness for various schemes upon which farmers can opt the benefits has been provided by District Agriculture Office, Thoubal/Kakching to those who have enquired regarding unavailability of Urea. 

Sub-Divisional Officer, Kakching have issued 35 nos. of Income Certificate, 17 nos. of Birth Certificate, one certificate each of Death Certificate and Distance certificate and 3 nubos. of Residence Certificate. Sub-Divisional Officer, Waikhong have issued 12 nos. of Income certificate and 48 nos. of Birth certificate while Langmeidong C.D. Block too issued 124 nos. of Birth certificate and 2 nos. of Death certificate. A total of 163 nos. of application were received by Craftsmen Training Scheme, Govt. Industrial Institute, however, 93 nos. were admitted. Under Food Safety Administration, Kakching, 3 nos. of Food license/registration were done today. As many as 147 nos. of applications were received from the general public of the district by District Social Welfare, Office, Kakching. Forest department has distributed 514 nos. of seeding free of cost to 81 persons. The general public coming on the Meeyamgi Numit were satisfied for being provided with the opportunity to directly interact with  the District Level Officers including the private sector banks.

Meeyamgi Numit will be held on the fourth Friday of every month. In case the 4th Friday is holiday, it will be held on 4th Thursday of the month
