Village health sanitation and nutrition day held in thoubal district

As part of 100 days action plan, District Health Society Thoubal is continuing with organising VHSND at various villages in Thoubal District. To improve and provide access to maternal, neonatal, child, adolescent health and nutrition services at the village level, the 'Village Health Sanitation and Nutrition Days' was held today at Wangkhem Village, Palli Bazar Sangaiyumpham and Heirok-III Ngarouthel Villages of Thoubal District.  In the VHSND held at Palli Bazar Sangaiyumpham Dr  Y. Nokul Singh, CMO Thoubal, Ch. Basanta Singh, DPM Thoubal, Dr. Sureiya, MO PHC Sangaiyumpham and Md. Riyas Sheikh, DCM Thoubal attended the programme. Meanwhile, Dr. M. Nomita Devi, Senior Medical Officer in Charge, CHC Heirok, L. Kunjeshwori Devi, Community Health Centre, HWC Wangkhem and RK Merina Devi, Adolescent Health Counsellor attended the programme held at Wangkhem Village and Dr. Aarti Devi, MO in Charge CHC Heirok and her team successfully organised the VHSND held at Ngarouthel Village. During the program topics like RMNCH+A, Exclusive Breastfeeding, Immunisation, FP methods, Fortified Rice, PMMVY, HIV, Syphilis, TB and Nutritious food were delivered by resource persons and health officials.
