Amazon platform to ecxpand weavers' market of manipur

Manipur chief minister N Biren Singh today attended Manipur Heritage Expo-2022 at City Convention Centre, Palace Compound, Imphal wherein a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between the Amazon Karigar and Manipur Handlooms & Handicrafts Development Corporation Limited (MHHDCL). He also distributed 2475 looms to the people of the 16 districts of Manipur. The event was also attended by minister Nemcha Kipgen, MLAs S Rajen Singh, L. Rameshwor Meetei and other esteemed dignitaries. The expo aims to reunite and revive the heritage of Manipur. The products will be listed on Amazon platform which will immensely expand the market of state's weavers and entrepreneurs, CM said.
