12-year-old boy drowns in Arong river
In a tragic incident, a
12-year-old boy drowned in Arong river under Thoubal police station today. The
deceased was identified as Khangembam Abungcha @ Malem son of late Kh Somen
from Thoubal Athokpam Mayai Leikai. Reportedly, the boy, who was reading in
class V, went missing in the river around 2.30 pm before his body was recovered
by one Md Ashadullah who is said to be an expert in finding missing bodies in
rivers.
