Lui Ngai Ni Greetings from GOC Red Shield Division

IMPHAL: Maj Gen SS Mishra, VSM, General Officer Commanding, Red Shield Division extended his warm wishes to the people of Manipur, on the joyous occasion of Lui-Ngai-Ni, the seed sowing festival of Naga community. The festival assumes much significance as it not only occupies a unique position among the Nagas, but also among the people in the North East as it appeals for peaceful coexistence and at the same time spreads the message of `live and let live, breaking of the barriers caste, creed and religion in the society.

Conveying his greetings, the GOC wished everyone for better yield of seasonal crops and for a celebration in its true spirit of oneness and brotherhood . He further appealed for unity and peaceful co-existence amongst the different communities in the state.
