Meeyamgi Numit celebrated at Thoubal district.


"Meeyamgi Numit" (People's Day) was successfully organised by the District Administration Thoubal  today at the Counting Hall of Deputy Commissioner's Office Complex for  the month of September. As done in the preceding months, A. Subhash Singh, IAS, Deputy Commissioner, Thoubal, heard various grievances and demands of the public personally. Altogether applications for 231 schemes/ services were recieved today relating to different schemes like CMHT Card, old age/ Widow pension card, weaver card, housing schemes and other during the programme. Speaking to the media, Deputy Commissioner said that earlier "Meeyamgi Numit " was held only in the state capital. However to meet the needs and grievances of the people living in the far flung areas the program is now held in the District Headquarters. He said most of the grievances are related to old age pension schemes,CMHT cards among others. The District Administration is committed to solve the problems and grievances of the public along with the concerned departments for betterment and welfare of the common citizen. 

Deputy Commissioner distributed CMHT card to two beneficiaries. Gas connection to eleven (11) women beneficiary under the Ujjwala scheme were also distributed. Deputy Commissioner also distributed Food safety registration certificate to eleven (11) persons issued by the Food Safety Administration Thoubal. The department also gave awarness to the people about the safety of food. Leaflets were distributed to the public about the importance of food safety as well.  More than 20(twenty) stalls of different departments were opened to meet the demand of the public including Police, CMO, ICDS, ZEO, MSPDCL, Veterinary. 

In today's "Meeyamgi Numit", SP Thoubal Shri Jogeshchandra Haobijam, IPS, CMO Thoubal, Dr.Y.Nokul,all Sub- Divisional Officers, and other District level Officers of different departments attended the programme to address the grievances of the general public.  It is worth to mention that "Meeyamgi Numit" is a service platform to address the grievances of people initiated by Chief Minister on May 15th, 2017. Meeyamgi Numit is held on every 3rd Friday of every month and if 3rd Friday happens to be a general holiday then it will be held on previous working day.
