CM N. Biren attended the launching programme of 1st Batch Trainees of the SIHM at City Convention.


Chief Minister N. Biren attended the launching programme of 1st Batch Trainees of the SIHM, Catering Technology and Applied Nutrition, Manipur, and enjoyed the interaction with the trainees of “Industry Linked Training Programme of 2000 Trainees of ITES” at the City Convention Center.

Chief Minister said that with the launch of the training programme, the youth of our state are no longer forced to look beyond the state for employment prospects, and they can now hone their skills at in our own state. Constant efforts are being made towards the upliftment of youths through various schemes.

He continued that, Financial assistance, technology up-gradation, skill development along with inclusion  Start Up Schemes under the “Self-reliant India” initiative of the Central government are taken up and the govt. have already employed thousands of youths and women, making a pathway to achieving Prime Minister Narendra Modi Ji’s vision of making India the top economy of the world in future.

Also he said, People's participation is a must for good governance, taking up welfare activities and development projects, including infrastructure, besides an overall improvement in law and order. He also aimed to create a progressive and developed state and the active cooperation of the people will make all the difference. Lastly, he added that Government's decision of legalising liquor is not a spontaneous decision and it was decided after consulting various stakeholders in the last two years. The same was also discussed in the previous sessions of the state assembly.
