Two person held wtih 660grm of heroin power by CDO IW

Today a teams of CDO-IW along with women police personnel led by P. Achouba Meetei, OC-CDO-IW under the supervision of M. Amit, Addl SP Ops IW and overall supervision of Ksh. Shivakanta Singh, SP IW conducted frisking and checking in front of Johnstone Hr. Secondary school Eastern side. During that two drug dealers i.e., one woman namely Lhingboi Kipgen, (37 yrs) d/o (L) Lunkhosei Kipgen of Govajang Village, Tengnoupal District  and one male namely Ch. Konai Maring, (30 yrs) s/o Modun Maring of  Kambang Khunou Village,  Chandel were arrested at 2.15 pm and 2.20 pm respectively. From the possession of Mrs Lhingboi, 50 (fifty) nos. of soap cases containing suspected to be Heroin No. 4 hidden inside an apple carton box and two thermo flask were seized at 2.00 pm . On questioning,  Mrs. Lhingboi Kipgen disclosed that she collected the said soap cases from one Lalam of Myanmar on 31/05/2022. They further stated that today they were going to proceed to Dimapur for delivering the said soap cases to one Boishi of Dimapur. Recovery:1) 50 (fifty) nos. of soap cases containing suspected to be Heroin No. 4 (660 gm approx. excluding weight of soap case), 2) One apple cartoon box, 3) two thermo flasks ,4) Three mobile handset,5) Two Aadhar cards , 6) Rs. 4260/- and 7) One pink Lady bag and one wallet. The arrested persons along with seized articles have been handed over to City PS for necessary action.
