Man arrested with 8.9 kg of opium in manipur

Carrying foward the War Against Drugs, Thoubal district police arrested a man and seized 8.9 kg of opium from his possession at Salam Patong early on Friday. A police report identified as arrested as Satminthang Kipgen @ Minthang (32) son of Lalsat Kipgen of Ningel Mollen village, Kangpokpi district. Police said Rs 2,81,900 in cash and a Micra car with registration number MN01G 7056 were also seized from him. The incident ocutrred aroun 5 am. The arrested along with the seized items have been handed over to Nongpok Sekmai Police Sation where a case has been registered for further necessary action.
