Target set to start Jiribam-Imphal train service by 2023: Biren

N Biren Singh, chief minister of Manipur on Sunday said target has been set to start Jiribam-Imphal train service by 2023. He was speaking during the opening function of an "All Assam Manipuri People's Convention cum the Precious Day 2022" at Rajiv Bhavan, Silchar, Assam.  Biren was the chief guest of the programme. Besides, Biren, the even was attended by PHED minister L Sushindro Singh, Mayang Imphal MLA Kongkham Robindro  and  IPSA vice president Konthoujam Athoubana who shared the dais. Biren also highlighted on the need to protect and preserve tradition and culture of the Meitei community. During the convention the partcipants reaffirmed to continue pitching for the demand of Autonomous District Council for Manipuris living in Assam state.
