Lions Club of Imphal Greater organizes Blood Donation Camp on Valentine’s Day

IMPHAL: Under the theme of “Share Your Love by Donating Blood”, the Lions Club of Imphal Greater organized a Voluntary Blood Donation Camp at JNIMS Blood Bank on this Valentine’s Day, the 14th February, 2022. The camp is the 29th Edison of the Voluntary Blood Donation Camp organized by Lions Club of Imphal Greater, Lions Club International 322D. 

During the camp organized in association with Blood Transfusion Unit, JNIMS, members of Lions Club of Imphal Greater, MBBS Students of JNIMS, Imphal and Voluntary Blood Donors of Manipur donated Blood. Altogether, 43 units of Blood were collected. Dr. K. Surjit Singh, Chairperson of the project said that Lions Clubs around the world have been organizing mass blood donation camp as a regular feature. However, due to Covid pandemic, limited donors are arranged for this occasion. He further said that the club is planning to organize more blood donation camps in the near future. 

During the camp, Dr. L. Tomcha Khuman who donated blood 67th time emphasized about the importance of blood donation. President of the club Shri Ashok Konjengbam, Treasusrer of the club Shri Arun Thongam and other key members of the club also donated bloods in the camp.
